The purpose of this website is to inform and monitor the progress of the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) 27. Macomb Community College is engineering and building a full electric vehicle incorporating state-of-the-art electric-drive components. The vehicle of choice is a replica 1927 Model T Roadster using a fiberglass body with custom built tubular frame.

This project will receive attention through various media outlets including local newspapers, national news, and performance/trade magazines. And it will be exhibited at many local events during and after the build to demonstrate electric-drive technology.

Macomb Community College 1927 Formula T-Rat
This video tells the story of designing and building a 1923 T-Rat Formula Roadster at Macomb Community College using state-of-the-art technologies. NEHR Speedcraft deserves much of the credit for guiding us through from start to finish, including helping us jump hurdles that naturally occur in any manufacturing project.
